History of medical self‑government in the Second Republic of Poland

Establishing the medical, and then medical and dental, chambers in the Second Republic of Poland was acknowledged as a great achievement of the medical circle. Despite critical opinions, that organization supported physicians in their education, professional integration and during physician–patient and physician–physician conflicts. The activity of medical and medical and dental chambers was discontinued on January 26, 1940.
