ABSTRACT
In 144 people prior to elective bariatric surgery (laparoscopy sleeve gastrectomy – LSG) due to morbid obesity, a questionnaire regarding dyspeptic symptoms and endoscopic examination (panendoscopy) with mucosal specimens for histopathological evaluation were performed. Clinical symptoms were correlated with the histopathological picture and the incidence of H. pyloriinfection in the obese population was assessed.
