ABSTRACT
Traumas in military population constitutes an issue widely discussed in the literature. Military medical surveillance data is used to determine the types of trauma and their effects, i.e. injuries to the locomotor system. This data is a basis for working out prevention principles and enable monitoring the change trends among the military personnel. The results of the studies have suggested that carrying heavy loads by soldiers, participating the high intensity training programs and footwear should be considered significant trauma‑causing factors leading to injuries and overload of lower limbs in military populations.
