ABSTRACT
The increased interest in the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) in medicine prompted the authors to analyze the available research reviews and meta-analyses, and to rank the data on HBOT. The first part of the article presents: a historical outline of research on HBOT, the principles of operation of hyperbaric chambers, as well as indications and contraindications for the use of this form of treatment.
