ABSTRACT
The article presents the case of a 40‑year‑old patient, who at the age of 11, accidentally shot himself in the right groin area with an air gun. Apart from an entry wound, he has not suffered any serious injuries. The first symptoms of the right lower limb swelling appeared eighteen years after the shot. Confirmed diagnosis and the exact location of an arteriovenous fistula with diagnostic imaging (Doppler ultrasound, Angio CT, selective lower limb artery angiography) allowed to qualify the patient for and perform surgery, i.e. fistula closure.
